Biografie
Illdisposed are currently the biggest name in Danish extreme music. Since the beginning of the 90´s, when they were a 100% underground band, Illdisposed have made a name for themselves with most metal fans and a lot of people within the trade of extreme music because of an uncompromising style. The band has toured Denmark and parts of Europe in ´95, ´96, ´98, ´02 and ´03. Time after time these 5 lads of Aarhus fill the venues. Several concert organizers find that Illdisposed is the most successful Danish metal band.
When Illdisposed´s debut CD "Four Depressive Seasons" was released in 1992, the band played pure death metal, that didn´t differ too much from the large number of bands within this genre, except from their trade mark no. 1: an incredible brutality. Today, the members of Illdisposed have developed their own and more commercial form of death metal with groovy rhythms, melodic but still hard hitting riffs, technical and well played guitar solos and an aggressive vocal in focus. This style is developed through experience with productions and pre-productions of 7 CDs, tours in and outside Denmark and a careful selection of new band members.
The CD "There´s Something Rotten in the State of Denmark", which was released in Autumn 1997, has sold so much that some established people within the trade refuse to believe the sales figures. The CD has opened doors for the band. Beside the unavoidable DK-tour, Illdisposed got their debut on Roskilde Festival in 1998. Earlier this year Illdisposed performed in the documentary "Headbang", which is a film about 3 heavy metal bands from Jutland, Denmark. The film won the international award for the best documentary under the organization ITVA´s (International Television Association) yearly festival in New Orleans. The program has been shown in Danish TV2 and sold to several TV stations outside Denmark.
Latest release "Kokaiinum" has got good reviews - especially in the metal magazines in Europe. In spring 2002 Illdisposed toured Denmark and Germany and played festivals in Denmark and Europe during spring, summer and autumn 2002. In September 2003 Illdisposed did a European mini-tour.
In March 2004 Illdisposed signed a new record deal with Roadrunner Records. The new album will be released around September / October 2004.
